Taxali’s wooden yo-yos extend his gallery practice into the world of designer toys and functional objects. Each piece features the artist’s signature graphic style, transforming a classic toy into a collectible art object. Taxali launched his first vinyl toy in 2005, commissioned by the Whitney Museum of American Art. This designer art toy comes in a clear display box. Part of the artist’s handcrafted toy series that extends his two-dimensional pop art into tactile, collectible form. The box measures 2.5″ x 2.5″ x 1.5″.
